The Modern Flames Nova Clear 48-Inch See-Through Built-In Electric Fireplace brings a true see-through fireplace to electric heating. Instead of a screen, Nova Clear projects its flames with lasers onto a patented, ultra-thin transparent optical film that stays more than 80% transparent. The flames look full and dimensional from both sides while the rooms stay visually connected, making it a natural fit between a living room and kitchen, a dining room and great room, or a primary bedroom and bath.

Nova Clear is built in and adapts to the architecture around it. Install it as a single-sided fireplace, a two-sided corner, a three-sided bay, an island, or a floating see-through unit in a standard 2x4 or 2x6 wall. The 48" x 24" viewing area is dressed with a TruWood lit log set cast from real split wood and black crushed glass, with a glowing ember bed and downlighting for depth and realism.

Choose from three multi-dimensional flame styles in multiple colors. When the fire is off, Nova Clear becomes a transparent media display: plug a streaming device (not included) into the built-in HDMI input to show movies, TV or ambient visuals, visible from both sides. Integrated Dolby Audio supports Bluetooth music streaming and three fireside sound modes: Normal, Starry Night and Stormy Night.

Dual-zone ceramic PTC heating warms one room or both. Run heat from the front, back, both sides or not at all, for 4,100 BTUs on a 120V circuit or 8,200 BTUs when hardwired to 240V, enough for spaces of roughly 410 to 820 square feet. Control flames, colors, ember bed, downlighting and heat from the included remote, the touch control panel or the Modern Flames + app for iOS and Android, which also works with compatible smart home systems.
